Traveling with a baby: comfort, practicality, and safety
Summer is approaching, and with it... family trips! As our families grow, it's normal to start having questions about how to travel with our little ones comfortably and safely: traveling as a couple is completely different from traveling with children, there are some things we need to consider! In this post, we give you some tips on how to travel with babies comfortably: we propose a list of essentials to make the trip perfect for everyone!
The Nest as a travel cot
When traveling as a family, one of the most common concerns is: how do I move around with my baby comfortably and safely? The answer is always the same: with the nest. For us, it's a must-have in our daily lives, as we always use it at home to keep our little ones close, but it's also the ideal accessory for easily moving them outside the home.

One of the main advantages of our nest is that it is lightweight, and it also comes with handles and a carrying bag that make it ideal for taking anywhere. Without a doubt, when it's time to travel and we start thinking about how to travel with our babies, the nest is the first thing that comes to mind!

4 Seasons Sleeping Bag or Summer Sleeping Bag
It's important to make sure our baby is warm, even in summer! With our 4 Seasons Sleeping Bag, we ensure that our little ones are snugly wrapped in the nest: in summer, there's no need to add any filling, just use it like a light sheet!

Another option is to choose a Summer Sleeping Bag TOG 0.5, designed for summer nights or warmer areas. You can use it with pyjamas or a bodysuit underneath, or you can wrap the baby directly in just the sleeping bag. It's soft and spacious, perfect for your baby to have freedom of movement, which is greatly appreciated in the warmer months!

Muslin: perfect for covering the baby in the nest in summer
Made with a thin, breathable organic cotton fabric, muslins are, without a doubt, another essential product that cannot be missing from any layette: cool, light, and soft, they are perfect for swaddling the baby in the nest, both inside and outside the home. Did you know that when we swaddle them in muslin, they feel safe and cuddled as if in the womb? It relaxes them a lot!

Universal fitted sheet for pram or Moses basket
One of our latest innovations is the protective fitted sheet for prams or Moses baskets: forget about mattress protectors that don't breathe and make the baby sweat! Our sheets have, on one side, organic cotton jersey that protects the baby's delicate skin, and on the other, a soft terry cloth that prevents liquids from seeping through to the mattress: great!

Terry poncho for the pool or beach
Comfortable, lightweight, and one of the best choices for summer, our ponchos are perfect for these warm months: in addition to bath time, the little ones can wear them at the beach or pool to dry off while they play. They are ideal for children between 0-4 years old, and they allow them to comfortably cover both their body and head.

We love this product and can't do without it: one of the main advantages is that, in addition to drying easily, the hood protects their head from the sun, which is super important in summer! We have several prints, choose the one you like best together!

Short-sleeved pyjamas
Very comfortable and designed for summer, our short-sleeved pyjamas consist of a button-down shirt and pants with an elastic waistband. Organic cotton makes them light and cool, but they also act as protection against the cold in the early morning.
Additionally, we must not forget that when they feel comfortable and secure, their rest is much better! We have the same striped prints in different colors for pyjamas and rompers: siblings can wear their matching pyjamas!

Sunscreen
It is very important to protect our little ones' skin, especially in summer, when children spend many hours exposed to the sun. We recommend using a high-protection sunscreen specifically for children and babies. Summer is for enjoying, but we must be cautious; it is very important that we also take care of the skin of our little marmots!
