With the arrival of the colder months of the year, one of our biggest concerns is knowing how to properly dress our baby, especially when they are newborns: How should they sleep? How many layers of clothing should they wear?

Our winter sleeping bags or sleep sacks are ideal for babies, ensuring they sleep warm all night long and don't get uncovered. We have two versions of winter sleeping bags, the TOG 2 and the warmer TOG 2.5.

The winter baby sleeping bag or sleep sack is one of the best options to keep your baby warm in winter, as there is no risk of them uncovering themselves at night and it maintains their ideal temperature, thus ensuring their sleep and rest.

Warm and soft Winter Sleeping Bags

The outer and inner fabric of our TOG 2.5 sleeping bags is BCI cotton, the best for children's skin. Babies, especially newborns, have very sensitive skin and do not tolerate well the chemicals that other garments may contain: they cause redness, allergies...

Therefore, at Petite Marmotte, we always opt for BCI cotton, as it is a fabric that protects the baby from the cold and possible irritations. Fabrics also matter, and a lot!

The TOG of baby sleeping bags

The winter sleeping bag has a TOG of 2.5, and is perfect for rooms between 18 and 21 degrees Celsius, the summer sleeping bag has a TOG of 0.5, ideal for rooms between 24 and 27 degrees Celsius, and finally, the mid-season sleeping bag has a TOG of 1.5, which makes it ideal for temperatures between 21 and 24 degrees Celsius.
