Next Sunday, March 31st, at 2:00 AM, the time will change to 3:00 AM, which means we will sleep one hour less.
For babies, the time change can lead to adaptation problems, sleep disturbances, or increased irritability.

How can we manage the time change to affect our babies as little as possible? Here are some tricks that have worked for me:
- Start a week before to adjust bedtime, about 15 minutes each day until you reach the desired time before the change. This way, the change will be less abrupt.
- Dark room: they might not understand that it's still daytime when they go to bed, so it's advisable to keep their room dark, which will help them fall asleep.
- Don't make major changes these days; it's not advisable to combine more than 2 changes in a few days. Continue with the bath-dinner-story routine and then to sleep.
- Be patient and consistent: it usually takes them about 3-4 days to adapt to the new schedule, but some children might need more time.
I'm looking forward to longer days and enjoying evenings at the park with the kids. I love spring!
And you? Do you have any tricks to make sure they don't notice the time change?
