Sleeping Bags and Wearable Blankets: say goodbye to the cold!

Sacos de Dormir y Pijamas Manta: ¡dile adiós al frío! Petite Marmotte

Now that winter is approaching, one of our main concerns is that children might uncover themselves and end up getting cold. That's why, at Petite Marmotte, we have designed baby sleeping bags and children's sleep sacks that will keep your children warm while they sleep. Forget about having to get up in the middle of the night to check if they are covered!

Let's start by talking about sleep sacks for babies who kick off their covers, ideal for use from newborn up to 18 months (we have 2 sizes, 0-6 months and 6-18 months). It is the star product for sleeping, as it keeps our babies warm and ensures we don't have to worry about them uncovering themselves.

These sleeping bags are very comfortable and roomy, allowing them freedom of movement (so they can continue to adopt the frog position as in the womb and move as much as they want). Our sleeping bags will provide them with the necessary comfort and make them feel always tucked in. It is the safest way to sleep, as this way, we prevent the blanket or sheet from falling on their head.

Features of baby sleeping bags:

  • Like all our products, our baby sleeping bags are made of organic cotton, so they are both warm and very soft to the touch. They are very lightweight and the baby will feel very comfortable in them.
  • Front zipper all the way down: ideal for easy diaper changes, the sleeping bag opens quickly and easily. You can also unzip it while feeding at night. It is a high-quality and very soft zipper, and it is protected so that it does not come into contact with the baby's chin.
  • With or without sleeves: we have sleeping bags for all seasons of the year; winter and mid-season ones come with sleeves (which can be put on and taken off).

Sleep sacks

As our little ones grow, we've noticed they continue to kick off their covers at night. That's why we've designed the next step after sleeping bags: sleep sacks for children. We currently have sizes from 4-12 months up to 6-8 years. Comfortable, roomy, soft, organic cotton... you'll love them!

Like the sleeping bags, our sleep sacks are also pyjamas for babies who kick off their covers, making them the safest option for sleeping. Keep reading to learn about all their features!

The TOG in our Sleeping Bags and Sleep Sacks

Our sleep sacks are available with different TOG ratings, which define thermal resistance and indicate the temperatures for which they are suitable. Thus, for warmer temperatures, we use the Summer Sleep Sack TOG 0.5, for mid-season months the Mid-Season Sleep Sack TOG 1.5, and for winter the Winter Sleep Sack TOG 2.5. Depending on the temperature in the baby's room, you should add a bodysuit or pyjama underneath.

Below, you'll find a guide to help you know how to dress your baby according to the room temperature.

How to dress them under sleeping bags and sleep sacks?

It is common to put a pyjama underneath, and if it's very cold, you can add an undershirt. If the weather is milder, you can put a bodysuit or t-shirt on and then the sleep sack.

It is also very practical for traveling: as mothers, we are always worried about them getting cold and we don't know if our vacation spot will be well-equipped. Therefore, we recommend always packing the pyjamas to ensure their rest.
